A. Robert 'Bob' Bertrand

Armand Robert “Bob” Bertrand, 67, of Lyndonville, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2024 at The Metric Wrench, the business he owned and operated for over 30 years. 

Bob was born on April 12, 1957 in Middlebury, VT to Armand and Darlene (Fanton) Bertrand. He graduated from Otter Valley High School in 1975. He married his wife Joanne on July 17, 1976. Inspired by a teacher in high school, Bob began his career in automotive repair out of high school, eventually becoming an ASE Certified Master Technician. Bob’s career took him and Joanne to the Northeast Kingdom in 1989, and they opened The Metric Wrench in 1991. 

Outside of his work, Bob lived his life on the principles of “God, Family, Country.” He was an elder at the Lyndon Center Free Baptist Church. He worked hard every day to do everything for his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting trips, gardening, and riding motorcycles with Joanne and their friends. 

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by several beloved aunts and uncles.

Bob is survived by his wife Joanne; mother Eldora Bertrand; son Jared; daughter Lydia (James) Bailand; brothers David (Olivia) Bertrand and Scott Mohan; sisters Victoria (Loren) Henry, Keneah (James) Rice, and Tawnya Rodriguez; grandchildren Cecilie, Agnes, and Bertram; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and, of course, his beloved dog Rupert who was known to anyone who knew Bob. 

Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Lyndonville, VT. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM April 24, 2024, at Lyndon Center Free Baptist Church. Burial will be at Lyndon Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s memory to the Lyndon Center Free Baptist Church.
