Charles Weis

Charles C. Weis, 89, of Sutton, VT and formerly of Connecticut passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, VT.

Charlie was born on October 17, 1932 Hospital in New York City the son of Eugene and Caroline (Pietsch) Weis.  He graduated from St. Dominic’s High School in Oyster Bay, NY in 1951 as well as completing two years of college.  Charlie worked 38 years as a police officer for the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles.

Survivors include his nieces, Darlene McMichen, Karen Phipps and a good friend, Wayne Bandy.

He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Joseph, Eugene and Anthony Weis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Church on Hill Street in Lyndonville, VT.  Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, NY.
