Cheri Lynn Carr “Allard”, 62, of Burke Hollow, passed away on August 10, 2026, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, after a long illness.

Cheri was born on May 5, 1964, in St. Johnsbury, to the late Everett & Jeanette (Barry) Carr. She graduated from Lyndon Institute with the class of 1983 before entering the United States Navy where she proudly served as a cook. She later worked as a truck driver before illness forced her into retirement.

Cheri will be remembered as someone who loved life and family, and always "lived life to the fullest". She enjoyed fishing and hunting, horses, 80’s rock, and going to eat at the Diner. She was a jokester and wanted to be remembered as “always laughing & teasing the guys.” She enjoyed her afternoon visits talking to “Bob” with Heloise and hanging out at flat rock at Center Pond. She enjoyed gardening, and especially loved yellow roses, daisies, sunflowers, and lilies. Above all, Cheri loved her family, especially her grandkids and her beloved fur babies.

Cheri is survived by her daughters Julia (Robert) Maximov & Jennifer Allard; siblings Mark (Lynn) Carr, Gary Carr, & Moe Carr; grandchildren Kolby, Khloe, Kyle & Kyran; ex-husband and best friend Steve Allard; nieces & nephews Josh, Nicole, Kristen, Danny, Jessica, Samantha, and McKayla; cousins Dawn Tanner, Mike Carr, and Martha Wilkins; special friends Tina Garand, Wanda Lawrence, many friends at dialysis and St. Johnsbury Center for Living & Rehabilitation; her beloved fur babies, as well as many other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Uncle Dean, Aunt Lou, Aunt Bev & Uncle Bob, Aunt Carol & Uncle Joe, cousin Iris, special friends Lorrie Newland, Patrick Lafleur & Marcie Smith, as well as many special fur babies.

Friends may call on the family Friday, August 21, from 4-6pm at Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Lyndonville, Vermont. Burial will take place the following day at 10am at the family cemetery in Burke Hollow, 1483 Bugbee Crossing Rd.
