Darlina M. Norrie

Concord, VT: Darlina Mae Norrie, age 76, of High Ridge Road, passed away at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab, Saturday afternoon, January 13, 2024, where she has resided for the prior two months.

Darlina  was born in Concord, VT, September 16, 1947, daughter to the late Shirley Waldo and Marjorie Grace (Keach) Bunnell.  She was raised and educated in Concord, graduating from high school there in 1967.  Dolly married Bradley P. Norrie on February 19, 1967, and shared 56 years at the time of his passing on June 7, 2023.  She worked at Hitchner’s in Littleton for over 20 years, retiring in the early 2000’s, and later worked for a couple of years in the activities department at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab.  She loved flowers and kept flower gardens around her home; one of her favorite things to do was watch wrestling.  Dolly’s love focused upon her family and never withdrew that love from them, from her immediate to the extended, down to the grand and great-grandchildren. They were loved dearly, and she will be dearly missed by each and every one of them.

Dolly is survived by her daughter: Rebecca “Becky” of Concord, her brothers: Reginald Bunnell (Deborah) of Granby, VT, Edward Bunnell (Janet) of Concord, VT, 3 grandchildren: Scott Norrie (Samantha), Curtis Harris (Jessica), and Mark Harris (Jaydearielle); 3 great grandchildren: Owen, Ashton, and Lily; and good friends: Mike and Lois Blackburn, and Lana Mitchell, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her siblings: Douglas “Craig” Bunnell, Sr. and Lynette Merchant.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Friday January 19, 2024, from 5-7PM at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury.

A springtime celebration will be also announced at the time draws near.
