David A. Mills

David Allan Mills, 71, of Lyndonville, VT, passed away on July 23, 2026 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.

David was born on January 8, 1955, in Newport, VT, to Robert & Theresa (Fugere) Mills. He attended St. Johnsbury Academy, graduating with the class of 1973 before beginning a 42-year career at Fairbanks Scales, retiring in 2018. He married Donna Ross on August 14, 1976, sharing nearly 50 years together before his passing.

David was a life member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR Racing. He was also an avid bowler and bowled with the same team for over 25 years. He also enjoyed spending time at camp in Bloomfield; it was always a special place for him and his remains will be scattered there.

David leaves behind his wife, Donna Mills of Lyndonville, daughters Becky Masure of Kirby & Holly (Joshua) Pierce of Wheelock, grandchildren Sawyer, Orin, Felicity, & Mack, and great-grandchildren Wilder & Raelyn. He was predeceased by his parents, three infant brothers, and three infant sisters.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
