Denise E. Davis

Sheffield, VT: Denise E. Davis, age 65, of Mosher Rd. died at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, on Friday, November 7, 2025, following a very recent illness.

Denise was born on July 16, 1960, in Warren, NJ, daughter to Arthur Churchill Ott, Jr. and Shirley Frances (Mahoney) Ott. She grew up there until the family moved to Vermont when she was 16. She graduated from Lyndon institute in the Class of 1978. On August 2, 1980, she married Jack Allen Davis and shared 40 years together. They made their home in Sheffield, raising their 2 kids, taking them camping and on trips to the ocean. Denise worked at Northern Lights for several years as a Loan Officer and later worked in the office at Northern Counties, Moose River Publishing and most recently at Surgical Associates at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Her love for the ocean never faded over the years as most all her pictures were taken right there, with Old Orchard Beach being a favorite. She loved Coca-Cola and had quite a collection of products, liked to mow her lawn and take care of the field as well with her zero-turn!. Every year a shopping excursion date was set with her close friends that they lovingly called themselves the ‘Fab-4’ consisting of Denise, Cindy Roy, Denise Berry and Marion Newland.

Denise’s grandchildren were her pride and joy, spending time with them as much as she could, and never missed a birthday, special event or sports game for any of them.

She is survived by her father: Arthur Ott of Sheffield; her children: Mike O. Davis and wife, Bobbie, of Newark, VT, and Erica L. Davis and wife, Amanda Davis, of St. Johnsbury, VT; brother: Randy A. Ott, Sr., and wife Lynnanne; two brothers-in-law: Jeff P. Davis and wife, Mary, of Danville, VT and Doug S. Davis of Concord, VT; 9 grandchildren: Cody, Brianna, Chance, Timothy, Jadis, Luke, Samuel, Hunter, and Elaina; 2 great-grandchildren: Oaklee and Winston; nephews: Justin(Shantelle), Jacob, Michael, Nicholas, Randy Jr. (Shana Lund), Daniel wife, Brittany; great-nephew: Everett; nieces: Haley, Chelsea, Taylor, MaKayla and their mother, Heather Hawk Ott; and great nieces: Eva-Lynn, Paisley, Everley, Maylea and Sofia.

She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Jack in 2021, her grandson: Chase Allen Davis in 2009, and her mother Shirley in 2006.

Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville, VT, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Services will be at the convenience of the family at the Wm. Dexter Cemetery in Sheffield in the spring.
