Donald Girard Simard, age 83, formerly of CT, died at the Maple Lane Nursing home in Barton, VT, on Sunday, December 10, 2017.
He was born in Hartford, CT, on October 14, 1934, son to the late Omer Joseph, Sr. and Florence M. (Bourque) Simard. He served in the USAF during peacetime and worked in the food service industry most of his life. He is survived by his sister: Noella T. Simard of Lyndonville and his brother: O. Joseph Simard and wife, Sally A., of E. Burke.
There will be no calling hours and a Mass will be said in his name at St. Elizabeth’s Church at a later date. Interment will take place at Mt. St. Benedict in Bloomfield, CT in the springtime.
