Lyndonville, VT: Dorothy M. Baker True, age 83, of South Wheelock Road, died at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, Friday, November 21, 2025.

Dorothy M. Baker True born September 14, 1942, in Lyndonville, VT, daughter to the late Raleigh Nelson and Leora (Camber) True.

Dottie graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1960 and matriculated to Champlain College graduating in 1966. She later achieved her bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in 1985. She spent her career in the secretarial field for the state of Vermont and other companies, as well as Howard & TD Bank having her first experience at Lyndonville Savings Bank before moving from the area. Typing 120 words/minute, proficient in shorthand and also stenography, Dottie worked for a number of attorneys as well. Remarks from many of those who worked with her throughout the years were always glowing and positive. An adventurer at heart, she traveled extensively in her younger years. She had many hobbies including flower arranging, painting, skiing and loved horses. For the remaining seven years of her life, she reconnected with family and spent time with her brother and nieces and nephews including gold panning with the boy scouts and lots of family time. She was very appreciative of the time she got to spend with all her family.

She is survived by her 2 brothers: David True and wife, Diane, of Lyndonville, and John True and wife, Alice, of Colonial Heights, VA, and several close nieces & nephews: Devin (Matt) Liberty and their children, Myah & Beckett, Zachary Willson (Cara), Sarah Carriere (Peter) and their son, Colton, Scott True (Jody) and Lisa Brooks (Rodney)

Dottie was predeceased by her sisters: Nancy Hamel, Mary True and her brother: Samuel True.

There will be no services or calling hours at this time.
