Evelyn O'Leary

June 3, 1929 — October 30, 2015

Evelyn 'Lynn' O'Leary, 86, of Hill St. in Danville, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 30, 2015. She had resided at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center since November of 2013.
She was born in Peacham, Vermont on June 3, 1929, the daughter of Gifford T. and Vieda (Pilotte) Robinson. She was predeceased by her first husband, Warren Coolbeth. She remarried John O'Leary Dec. 28, 1957. The O'Leary family traveled all over the world following John's military career in the Air Force, and came back to settle in Danville in 1972. John passed away in 2013.
A parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Lynn did so much for her church, whether it be working the chicken pie suppers, the Christmas Bazaar, or the church booth at Danville Fair. Lynn was organist at the Queen of Peace Church for over 40 years and served many of those years as the choir director. In 2006 she received recognition for Women in Ministry from the Diocese of Burlington. For years Lynn organized the parish camping trip to Kettle Pond at Groton State Forest.
Lynn loved Christmas with all its decorating and family activities, feeding the birds, tending her gardens, and participating in the annual Dowsers' convention. Her family will always remember her Parker House rolls and her sweet rolls.
She is survived by a son Bruce O'Leary and wife Joni of Florida; three daughters: Cheryll Bunnell and husband Calvin of Florida, Kathy Sevigny and husband Rick of Danville, Shonna Heath and husband Roland of North Danville; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother Michael Robinson of Danville; two sisters: Betty Chamberlin and Sally Chamberlin both of Danville; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers: Gifford "Bill" Robinson, Jr., and Jack Robinson.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Danville Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Family committal services will be held later at the Danville Green Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
