Frank “Butch” Appleby, 78, of Lyndonville, passed away in his home June 23, 2025.
Butch was born at Brightlook Hospital to the late Frank and Beverly (Morse) Appleby on December 29, 1946. He grew up in Lyndonville and graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1966.
After graduation, Butch joined the Army National Guard, serving his country for six years. He also worked as a machinist at Lyndonville Tap & Die. After 46 years of dedicated work, Butch retired not long before the factory was closed.
Butch greatly enjoyed hunting deer with Bruce and Paul.
In addition to his parents, Butch was predeceased by his infant brother, Russell.
Loved ones mourning Butch include his brothers, Bruce Appleby and Paul (Elma) Appleby; his niece Fleashia; and two cousins, Sherry and Linda Pratt.
Friends may call on the family July 1, 2025, from 1-3pm at Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Lyndonville, VT. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Woodmont Cemetery, in East Burke.
