George Stone

November 6, 1992 — November 27, 2015

George H. Stone, 23, of the Stannard Mountain Rd. in Walden, died Friday evening, Nov 27, 2015. He had suffered from serious grand mal seizures for the past ten years. He was born in St. Johnsbury on Nov. 6, 1992, the son of Howard and Heather (Paquin) Stone. He attended graded school at Millers Run in Sheffield and high school at Lyndon Institute. George could do anything mechanically and especially enjoyed tinkering with his father in his father's garage. He loved to ride his old Honda Saber 1100 motorcycle. In spite of his seizures, he rode life hard and fast, building the home there in Walden, hunting, camping, fishing, running and servicing chainsaws. Lobo, his Siberian husky, was his best friend, companion and guardian for ten years. Lobo became attuned with George's disability and watched over him constantly. He is survived by his fiancAC.e, Danielle Eastman and her son Alex Newman of Walden and her daughter, Heaven Fuller; his parents, Howard and Heather Stone of Sheffield; his sister, Savanna Clark, her husband Richard, and their two daughters, Bailey and Brandy who meant the world to him; and Ryan Simpson ] who was raised like a brother to George. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ida Stone of Sheffield; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Sandra Paquin of Sheffield; maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Helen Wilson of Lyndonville; his father's sister, Aunt Becky Stone of Sheffield; his father's brother, Uncle Jay Stone and wife Kim of Newark; his mother's two sisters, Aunt Heidi McAllister and husband Eugene of Walden and Aunt Helen Paquin of Walden; his mother's brother, Uncle IJ Paquin and wife Erin of Cabot; all his cousins and his faithful Husky, Lobo ]. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Guibord Funeral Home in Lyndonville this Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. The funeral home suggests some people consider coming later in the evening to avoid the early crowd. Memorial contributions could be directed to: Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont (epilepsy@sover.net), PO Box 6292, Rutland VT 05702. Memories and condolences may be shared privately at www.guibordfh.com. The Guibord Funeral Home is located on the corner of Main and Center streets in Lyndonville.
