Gloria Quatrini

Mrs. Gloria Quatrini of St. Johnsbury passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at the age of 92. She and her husband Francis had been married 72 years this past August 8.
She was born in Danville on August 23, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Morrison) Pelow. She graduated from Danville High School.
For years Gloria worked at the former H.P. Hood plant at the bottom of Hastings Hill and as assistant office manager at the former Newey Brothers plant on Warren Flat. She had an active role in the family restaurant at The Wooden Horse. For years the Quatrini's lived on Main St. where they roomed male students attending the St. Johnsbury Trade School. Gloria and dear friends Wilma Fournier and Marilyn Blake faithfully walked mornings together both here and in Florida.
She was predeceased by her youngest child Gary in 2001 and daughter Theresa Buckbee in 2010; son-in-law Roger Buckbee in 2007; brothers: Milton, Jack, Harold and Donald Pelow.
She is survived by her husband Francis, two sons: Steven Quatrini and wife Susan of St. Johnsbury, Byron Quatrini and wife Janet of St. Johnsbury; daughter-in-law Vicki Quatrini of St. Johnsbury; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren: Steve and Susan's two daughters Samantha Donoghue, husband E. J. and their two sons Trey and Emmett of Stamford, Connecticut, Shelby Powers and husband Brian and their three children, Poppy, Paisley and Theo of West Hyannisport, MA, Theresa's and Roger's children Brent Buckbee and wife Brenda of St. Albans, Laurie Buckbee of Fairfax, Brian Buckbee, wife Lori and their two sons Ryan and Matthew of Milton, Bryon and Janet's daughter Erin Hill, her husband Andy and their daughter Addison of Waterford, Gary and Vicki's daughter Anna Cushman, husband Bruce and their son Jack of St. Johnsbury Center; her sister, Anna Hawkes and her children: Lori Knight and Michael Garand both of Farmington, CT and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home Friday evening from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in St. Johnsbury Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church.
