It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Knowlton Pasell on January 5, 2025, at the age of 78. Jean passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a sudden and courageous illness.
Born on April 17, 1946, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, Jean was the daughter of David and B. Lucille Knowlton. She dedicated much of her life to serving others, spending the majority of her career as a medical consultant, where she built meaningful connections with physicians and staff alike. Jean had a unique ability to connect with everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A lifelong learner, Jean was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, and found great joy in exploring new places through travel. She treasured the role of wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and her love for her family and friends was boundless.
Jean is survived by her children, Scott (Samantha) Pasell and Molly (Michael) Weatherford; her beloved grandchildren, Hailey Weatherford, Tyler Weatherford, Stephen Pasell, and Bethany Pasell; as well as her extended family—sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she adored deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Stephen Pasell; her parents, David and B. Lucille Knowlton; and her siblings, Donald Knowlton, Duane Knowlton, and Janet Knowlton Grant.
Friends and family are welcome to the graveside service at Lyndon Center Cemetery, Lyndon Center, VT, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. where Jean will be laid to rest with her husband.
