Jeremy K. Rowell passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home in Concord, VT of a cardiac event.
Jeremy, affectionately known as Beaver to his family and friends, was born on January 18, 1976, in St. Johnsbury, VT, the son of Avery and Donna (Peak). He grew up in East St. Johnsbury, a tight-knit community where he spent much of his time outside following his two older brothers and many friends. Together they rode bikes, 2, 3, & 4 wheelers, went sliding, shooting, and hunting - all outside either until it was dark or they ran out of dry clothes.
Jeremy had a keen ability and incredible patience for anything mechanical. He could tinker any broken equipment back to working. His most recent project was refurbishing his grandfather’s Model A, but he also spent hours working on Samurais, Jeeps and his vintage Toyota pickup.
He attended schools in St. Johnsbury and graduated from Lyndon Institute class of 1994. Jeremy was a supervisor at Lyndon Furniture where he worked for 28 years. He was a skilled craftsman, building furniture, cabinets and more.
Together, he and his brother, Chad, built his house from the garage up, just as he always wanted. He was proud of the home he built for he and his son, Cody.
Jeremy’s greatest joy was his son, Cody. They spent hours together riding the back roads, 4-wheeling, hunting, tinkering, working in the garage, collecting treasures and watching movies. They also raised their cherished dog, Lucy, together.
He is survived by his son, Cody of Concord, VT and his mother, Valerie Smith; his father, Avery of East St. Johnsbury, VT; his brother, Michael (Cathy) of Kirby, VT; his best friend and brother, Chad (Kim) of Kirby, VT; nephews Caleb and Tyler; niece Josie; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and the Lyndon Furniture crew of Concord.
He is predeceased by his beloved mother, Donna Rowell (Peak).
Visitation will be held at Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Lyndonville, VT on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 2-4 pm followed by a closing prayer.
