John Ellsworth

John E. Ellsworth, age 76, of Royalston Corner Road, passed away with family by his side at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, following a period of declining health.
John was born in Woodstock, NH on May 7, 1939. He was raised and educated in Carmel, ME. On January 4, 1958 he married Julie Hanks and they made their home in North Woodstock, NH, until moving to Littleton, NH in 1971. They were past members of the North Woodstock Baptist Church for many years. John worked as an equipment operator and truck driver all his life, including Clough Construction, D. Avery and Sons Construction and Ruggles Fuel Co. He built his retirement home in Concord, VT five years ago and was proud to see it complete.
As a young man John enjoyed hunting and fishing in the woods of New Hampshire. He also enjoyed gardening and he raised a beautiful vegetable garden each summer. John enjoyed working around his home, whether it be tinkering in his garage, making lawn fixtures, or just beautifying his lawn. He took up a special interest in showing his 68' Buick Riviera antique car at many local car shows, and was a member of the White Mountain Cruisers. John also treasured every moment he got to spending with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Julie Ellsworth, of Concord, VT, his three children: Robin J. Fenoff, husband Frank Fenoff , John L. Ellsworth wife Kelly Ellsworth , Heidi J.Stillings , significant other Rodney Wilson all of Littleton, NH his brother: Charlie Ellsworth wife Wendy of Hampden, ME, three sisters: Beverly Morse of Chicago, IL, Ruth Hanson husband Wayne of Carmel, ME, Clarice Hannon Husband Norman also of Carmel, ME, nine grandchildren: Nacole Boutin, Joshua Fenoff, Arlee Strickland, Amanda Ford, Ashley Cloutier, Casey Fenoff, Nicholas Stillings, Logan Stillings, Mariah Stillings, twelve greatgrandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his mother Helen Georgia and Step Father Clifton Ellsworth, daughter Cynthia F. Ellsworth and a grandson: Justin R.Stillings and son-in-law: Robert Stillings.
There will be no services or calling hours at this time.
A Graveside Service will be held Springtime 2016, at the Moulton Hill Cemetery, on Moulton Hill Road in Lyman, NH.
