Obituary: John Douglas Hall, Sr.

Lyndonville, VT: John Douglas Hall, Sr. age 77, of the Lynburke Road, died in the home he was born in, surrounded by his family Monday, April 22, 2024, following a long battle with declining health issues.

John was born on September 29, 1946, son to the late Reginald and Beverly (Mitchell) Hall in Lyndonville, VT.  John was raised and educated in Lyndonville graduating from Lyndon Institute in the Class of 1965. He joined the Vermont National Guard serving 16 years.  John worked at Tap & Die for 13 years, later to Flexible Tubing and retired from North East Agriculture. John was an outdoorsman from fishing, deer hunting, gardening, camping, racing, attending his grandchildren’s games, if it was outdoors then he was happy. Especially if it was with family!  He loved going to yard sales and picking up small engine equipment that he would fix and get running like a top.  He was a regular morning member of the “Table of Knowledge” at the Miss Lyndonville Diner and Nick’s Gas N Go was his regular hot spot. John loved cracking jokes and expressing his spunky attitude and he will be terribly missed in the Kingdom.

Hall, Jr. of Lyndonville, Jeffrey Hall and wife, Cindy, of West Burke, their mother, Margaret Allard, children with Cheryl: Ryan Robinson of West Burke, Seth Hall and fiancé, Kaitlin Henderson, of East Haven, John’s siblings: Eddie Lawson and wife, Karen, of Lyndonville, Diane Rocheford of Lyndonville, his mother-in-law: Charlotte Robinson, brothers-in-law: Rick Robinson (Meg), Michael Robinson (Lynn), Corey Robinson and sister-in-law: Lori Martin (Mike), and his very good friends: Jackie Mitchell and Steve Taylor, 8 grandchildren: Shawna Whitcomb(Todd), Shyanne Farnsworth (Curtis), Brookelyn Robinson, Chase Robinson, Remick Robinson, Marlie Hall and Sailor Hall, Addison Cote, 3 great-grandchildren: Taylor Farnsworth, Logan Farnsworth and Kadinne Whitcomb and many nieces and nephews and his dog: Rosie.
