Kenneth Darrell
April 30, 1941 — October 22, 2015
Kenneth Earl Darrell, longtime St. Johnsbury resident, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the age of 74. Since this spring the Darrells had resided at The Cardinal's Nest off Brown Farm Rd. in Lyndonville.
He was born April 30, 1941, the son of Clarence and Beulah (Bailey) Darrell.
Kenny graduated from the Trade School with the class of 1960. Kenny had many jobs over his lifetime; he worked many years at ET & HK Ide Co. and retired from St. Johnsbury Academy. In retirement he worked part-time at Murphy Realty. He loved all the people he met and the stories they shared.
Kenny enjoyed fishing, loved camping and his coffee time at Anthony's Diner. Kenny was a terrific family man; he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and going to as many sporting events he could to watch his grandchildren play. He was a kind and gentle man and never met anyone he didn't like. He will be missed by many.
Kenny is survived by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Virginia (Moulton); his daughter Shelly Darrell and Mike Lamotte of Enfield, NH, his son Kevin Darrell and wife Ann of St. Johnsbury, his daughter Kimberly Christie and husband Ken of West Milford, NJ.; his grandchildren: Ryan Darrell; Kendra, Ashley and Morgan Darrell; Molly and Tanner Christie and his two adopted grandchildren, Adam and Georgie Marchesseault. He is also survived by his sister, Beulah McGinnis and husband Richard of St. Johnsbury; several nieces and nephews.
Kenny is predeceased by his father, mother, his brother William, nephew and a special mother-in-law.
A celebration of his life will be private with burial at the convenience of the family.
