Laura M. Jackman, 60, of St. Johnsbury, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family and those who loved her.
Laura was born on January 21, 1965 to Robert and Claire (Olcott) Chesebrough in Hudson, NY. She moved to Vermont at a young age and spent most of her life in St. Johnsbury.
Laura will be remembered as someone who enjoyed a simple life centered on family. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, and watching wildlife from her window. She enjoyed going on rides with Steve, and spending quality time we her grandchildren . Being with family was the most important thing to Laura, and it is her family that will miss her the most.
Laura is survived by her partner, Steven Weaver; children Amber (Bruce Broome) Wilson, Matthew (Kaylin Brosseau) Chesebrough, and Marissa (Aaron Weaver) Chesebrough; siblings Lisa Letourneau, Lynn Connor, Dale Chesebrough, and Bethany Bartlett; grandchildren Bianca Hannan, Wesley Wilson, Destiny Carbee, Aryanna Newton, Hank Dawson, Emmitt Dulac, Madison Weaver, and Amelia Weaver; great-grandson Jaxson Mitchell, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, St. Johnsbury, at the convenience of the family.
