Laura Anne Johnston

Laura Anne Johnston, age 61, passed away peacefully at The Pines Rehabilitation & Health Center in Lyndonville, Vermont on August 2, 2026. Interment will be in the Deer View Cemetery in Williston, Vermont at the convenience of the immediate family.

Born in Springfield, Vermont on November 25,1964 to Vernon T. Johnston and Charlene Tibbits Johnston(deceased). Laura graduated from Champlain Valley Union High School with the class of 1983 in Hinesburg, VT. She enjoyed playing the keyboard, crafting, playing cribbage and cooking throughout the years. She attended culinary school but could not complete the course due to illness. She suffered with Crohn’s disease and the long term effects of treatments for the disease.

Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Tibbits Johnston. She is survived by her father, Vernon T.  Johnston, Aunt Karen (John) Colgrove and many cousins of the Johnston and Tibbits families.

Laura will be remembered for her infectious smile, sense of humor, and many hidden talents which she shared when she could. Many thanks for the acts of kindness shown to Laura during the last few weeks at the Darling Inn Senior Meal Site the West Barnet Senior Meal Site and The Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center.
