Leroy Wellman

Leroy Allen Wellman, Jr., age 57, longtime-resident of Kirby died suddenly, November 8, 2018, in Victory, VT.

Leroy was born on December 18, 1960, in Nashua, NH, to Leroy A. Sr., and Ethelyn Louice (McLaughlin) Wellman.  He was raised and educated in Nashua and Hudson, NH attending Nashua High School. He married Penny Kay Patoine (Shedd) in 1990 and shared 25 years at the time of her passing on November 25, 2015. He enjoyed all the New England sports, NASCAR, 4 wheeling and mudding, raccoon hunting.  He enjoyed his job at RCT but loved and was dedicated to bringing his special rider Wilson to school and back daily for years. He was very artistic and liked to draw. Leroy loved all animals, especially his dogs.  Most of all Leroy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Leroy A. Wellman, Sr., of Ainsworth, NH, his step-son: Paul Patoine and his wife Annie of Kirby.  As Leroy would tell anyone about the children he loved so dearly “they are not spoiled they are loved” he has 8 grandchildren: Katy, Kimberly, Kasey, Corey, Lacey, Rosa, Lilyahna, and Paul Jr. Also 7 great-grandchildren: Emma, Abigail, Carter, Aleeyah, Tanner, Mackenzie, and Rebecca. Nieces and nephews including: Krystal L. Rhodes, John A. Rhodes and Olivia B. Rhodes. A sister: Cynthia A. Rhodes of Kirby, 4 brothers: Terrel Price of Augusta, ME, Charles Price of Portland, ME, Johns Price of Maine, Joe Wellman of Searsport, ME, Aunts & Uncles: Clyde (Les) Wellman of Belfast, ME, Lucy Stedman of Belfast, Harold McLaughlin of Gray, ME, Clifton McLaughlin of Yarmouth, MA, Edna Emerson of S. Portland, ME and His girlfriend: Cindy Williamson of Brattleboro

He was also predeceased by his Step-daughter: Tammy Boardman and mother: Ethelyn.

Friends may call on the family from 1-3PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Guibord Funeral Home located at the corner of Center and Main Streets in Lyndonville, VT. A short prayer service will conclude this time celebrate Leroy’s life.
