Obituary: Lois Irene (Klosenski) (Holloway) Proctor

North Troy, VT: Lois Irene Proctor, age 83, of Bonneau Road, passed peacefully at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. She had struggled for the past several years with dementia.

Lois was born on August 19, 1940, in Stamford, CT, daughter to the late Walter and Anka (Kowtko) Klosenski. She was raised and educated in the lower valley region of Connecticut graduating from Seymour High School in 1958. She also took finance classes at Mattatuck Community College. Lois worked all her life in finance in various positions while living in Connecticut, and later in Vermont at Burke Mountain Academy and then at the Gilman Housing Authority. She absolutely loved her work but made time for her family and herself. She grew up being a huge Elvis Presley fan, loved to swim, kept vegetable and flower gardens, and always loved her kitties. She adored wildlife, her cows and maybe being a little leadfooted on the roads. Lois was kind and generous. She loved her children and grandchildren, and they loved her back in spades. A kind and wonderful person who could not have been any more wonderful than she was.

Lois is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alfred Proctor, III of North Troy, VT; her son John Holloway of Waterford, VT; and daughter Cathie (Bill) Jensen of Lakeville, MN; step-children: Alan, Randy, Rory and Matt Proctor and Dianne Mudry all of CT; her daughter in law, Suzzette Holloway; 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Heroux, Kelly Mae Heroux, Matthew James Heroux, David James Heroux, Johnathon Holloway, Brooke Holloway, Chuck Holloway, James Holloway; 10 great-grandchildren: Trinitie, Frost, Orion, Issac, Octavian, Cheza, Claire, Matthew, Asher and Jordan.  Lois was predeceased by her son Chuck Holloway and granddaughter Sara Jessica.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time.

The family would like to thank the Medical Surgical Unit at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for their compassionate care during Lois’ final days.
