Loraine was born on Dec. 21, 1935 in Johnson, Vt to Lawrence J. Cox and Hazel (Foster) Cox. She grew in different places, depending on where her fathers work took the family.
She attended White School in E. Burke where she was the last person to graduate from that graded school in June of 1950, due to the transfer of the students to E. Burke Village school. Loraine married Carl G. Bradley in 1951. They had 6 children, they later divorced, and she married Philip Bedor, Sr. on Oct. 25, 1963. They had 39 years together, adding 3 additional children, before he died on Jan. 2, 2001.
She was a homemaker most of her life but worked as a waitress in her early years, at St. Johnsbury Glover, Manchester Manufacturing, Connors and Gefferson Shoe shop in Littleton NH, Quality Controlled Hitching, Caledonian-Record and in later years she was a delivery person for the same. While she was a stay-at-home mom she was knitting in her spare time, which was one thing she was most proud of beside her children. She once knit a sweater for the movie star Michael J. Fox.
