Marilyn C. Guyer, age 84, of Mosher Road, Sheffield, Vermont passed away at the Union House Nursing Home in Glover, VT, Thursday, May 31, 2024, following a recent decline.
Marilyn was born in Lyndon, VT, on December 9, 1939, daughter to the late John A., II, and Mary Aileen (Deoss) Crosier and grew up on the farm in Lyndon. During her school years she was a member of 4-H and graduated from Lyndon Institute in the Class of 1957, matriculating to Southern New Hampshire College to receive her Associates Degree in Accounting. She worked for Nashua Corp. as the Cost Accounting Clerk for 25 years and worked at Shop & Save in St. Johnsbury for 5 years during the 1960’s. She married Raymond Guyer on July 7, 1959, and shared 58 years at the time of his death on July 30, 2017. They built their home in Lyndon and were past members of the S. Wheelock Church. She helped in the church maintenance and was the Treasurer from 1960-72. She was a member of the Lyndon Corner Grange for over 50 years, enjoyed knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, rug punching, cooking and camping, but her time with her family was most important.
Marilyn is survived by her 2 children: Rosemary Kinerson (Ronald) of W. Barnet, Pamela Vance (Donald) of Lyndon, her last sibling: Ramonia Allaire of Glover, 1 granddaughter: Amanda O’Meara (Jeffrey) of Wethersfield, Connecticut and her 3 greatgrandsons.
She was predeceased by her 6 siblings: Euca Hubbard, , John Crosier, III, Evelyn Jones, infant sister, Estela Crosier, infant brother, William Crosier, and Yvonne “Bonnie” Jacques.
A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Lyndon Center Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Saturday morning from 10AM-12 Noon at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville.
