Marjorie Fields

August 8, 1925 — February 4, 2015

Marjorie Fields of Danville died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 at the age of 89. She had resided at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab since August.
She was born in Wells River, VT on Aug. 8, 1925, the daughter of Morris and Elsie Bigelow of Danville. She graduated from Danville High School in 1943 and from Burlington Business College in 1944.
Marjorie was a longtime office manager for Nychek Brother's Farm, a large scale vegetable farm in Ft. Myers, Florida. She moved back to Danville in March, 2013.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, collecting antique books, traveling back to Vermont with her husband and two sons to visit her sisters, brother and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel 'Bud' Fields III in 1985; her two sons Samuel and James; a grandson Tim Fields; two sisters June Withers and Dorothy Coggins; and one brother Robert 'Bob' Bigelow.
She is survived by grandchildren, William Prince, Ron Fields, Susan Pinzon, her sister Beaulah Hutchinson, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions, marked for the building renovation fund, could be directed to the Danville Congregational Church, PO Box 161, Danville VT 05828.
Sayles Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
