Mary Ann Roswell

Mary Ann Roswell, age 86, formerly of Brookmeade Circle, passed away at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab in St. Johnsbury, VT, on February10, 2022.

Mary was born in Scranton, PA, on March 1, 1935, daughter to the late Aloysius and Anna (Kozlowkis) Brocavich.  She was raised and educated in Scranton and married Charles Francis Roswell raising 3 children.  Following the passing of Charles in 1982 she lived with her son, Chuck, for 28 years following him throughout his Naval career wherever that led.  She enjoyed watching TV, especially the soap operas, WrestleMania and her favorite game shows of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  Mary liked doing the crossword puzzles and Search-a-word.  She loved her dachshund, Sassy, who she had for 19 years, but most of all , Mary loved and fussed over her grandkids all the time.  Her favorite quote was, “I’m a tough old bird!”

She is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Roswell and wife, Michele, of White River Jct., VT, her daughter, Rosemarie Roswell of Windsor, NY, 2 brothers: John Brocavich and wife Sandy, of AZ, Anthony Brocavich and wife, Mary Ellen, of PA, 5 grandchildren: Patrick Riley, Danielle Gould, Jacob Roswell, Steven Roswell, Heather Crutcher, 2 great-grandchildren: Charlie & Arin and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her daughter Mary Ann Roswell and her brothers: Al Brocavich and Joseph Brocavich.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City, NY, in the spring of 2022.
