Michael Patoine

St. Johnsbury, T: Michael Lionel Patoine, age 74, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2026, at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center where he has resided since 1972.

Mike was born on November 10, 1951, in Hardwick, VT, son to the late Henry Emile and Theresa Albertha (Goyette) Patoine. He was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury and Danville and enlisted in the Army at the age of 17 serving a tour in Vietnam. He worked as a logger but has been disabled since the age of 21 following an accident with a drunk driver.

Michael is survived by his daughter: Peggy Norman of Lowell, VT, his sister: Sue Leach and husband, Russell, of Lyndonville, 2 brothers: Joseph and wife, Vicki, of Prattsburgh, NY, Allen of Barnet, 4 grandchildren: Michael, Michelle, Madison and Erin and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers: John and Donald Patoine.

There will be no calling hours at this time. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
