Nancy Elizabeth Bedard

New Port Richey, FL and formerly St. Johnsbury, VT: Nancy E. Bedard, age 83, died peacefully at her son’s home in Bloomfield, VT, late Thursday night, June 12, 2025, after having returned to Vermont to spend her final days.

Nancy was born in Newport, VT, on March 14, 1942, daughter to the late Donald Leslie and Thelma E. (Desrochers) Daley. She grew up in St. Johnsbury graduating from the Academy in the Class of 1961 and married Douglas Robert Bedard the next year on August 24, 1963. They made their home in St. Johnsbury and Nancy studied nursing in Sherbrook, Quebec. She worked as office manager at Church Street Internal Medicine 44 years. Following retirement, she and Doug traveled to Florida for several years and made to the move to New Port Richey permanently in 2004. Nancy enjoyed art & crafts, line dancing and watching baseball.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Douglas Bedard, of New Port Richey, her son, Douglas R Bedard, II, and his wife, Debra, of Bloomfield, her 2 sisters-in-law: Judy Daley and Linda Daley of Arizona, her brother-in-law: Earl May of GA, 5 grandchildren: Cody Bedard (Sam) of St. Johnsbury, Zachary Bedard (Erica Clayton) of Danville, Heather Thomas of Concord, VT, Nicole Thomas of St. Johnsbury, Trent Thomas of W. Burke and 5 great-grandchildren: Ryder & Riggins Bedard, Lucas & Lincoln Sidney, Thomas, Pippa Newhook and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Nancy was predeceased by 3 siblings: Michael Daley, Duane Daley and Donna May.

A Graveside Service will he held on 11AM on Saturday August 9, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Bloomfield, VT with her cousin, Dan Daley, III to officiate. There will be no calling hours at this time.
