Pauline L. Braley

Pauline Lorraine Braley of St Johnsbury passed away on May 1st 2026.

Pauline was born on November 10, 1958 and raised in the New Bedford MA area where she met and married Jeff Braley. They made fond memories of late nights at the disco and going to concerts. They had 3 daughters, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Abby Rose. Though this relationship wasn’t forever, they remained friends after.

After meeting and falling in love with Sean McAlister, they completed their family with the additions of Sydney and Mac McAlister. They soon relocated to the NEK where directions now consisted of “turn at the biggest pine tree you’ll ever see” instead of street names.

Along with her pride in her children, she took great pride in her work ethic and finding the most perfect gifts for her loved ones.

She enjoyed her visits with her 8 grandchildren: Logan, Emily, Audrianna, Madeline, Anna, Ashley, Mason and Stella.

She was predeceased by her father Joseph Dupuis, her sister Jackie Surprenant, and Jeff Braley.

She was survived by her children: Elizabeth Heath and husband Tim, Rebecca Taylor and husband Craig, Abby Braley, Sydney Butler and husband Kyle, and Mac McAlister. Also, Sean McAlister, her sister Michelle McAfee, Mother Muriel Dupuis and close friends of the family Tessa Landry, Samantha Gale, and Becca Gillespie.

Services will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in St. Johnsbury, May 16, 2026 at 12:30pm. Reception to follow in the church hall. All friends of the family are welcome to attend.
