In Loving Memory of Raelynn Mae Riendeau
Our precious Raelynn Mae Riendeau, born on March 22, 2023, left this world far too soon on July 12, 2025, at just 2 years old. Raelynn passed away at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she had been receiving care for many months and was showing signs of improvement. Her passing was sudden and deeply heartbreaking to her family and the community who loved her so dearly.
Though her time with us was brief, Raelynn filled every moment with light, laughter, and boundless love. Her smile could brighten any room, and her gentle, joyful spirit touched everyone she met. She adored Bluey, Minnie Mouse, and stopping to smell the flowers, daddy’s cologne and deodorant, and mommy’s perfume. She found happiness in the simplest things—chasing and blowing bubbles, cuddling her favorite blanket, making bracelets, being outdoors, and dancing, especially to “Pink Pony Club” and “You Look Like You Love Me.” Before she became sick, Raelynn adored slow mornings and exploring the outdoors with her mommy. She loved going on hikes, hunting, helping check the sugaring lines, and spending time in the garden. Riding in Daddy’s big truck, enjoying lunch dates with him, and cuddling in his lap at the end of the day were some of her favorite moments. Raelynn especially loved visiting the farm to care for the cows, chickens, and bunnies—always proudly wearing her cowgirl boots. She was truly Mommy’s little best friend and Daddy’s little girl.
Raelynn is now reunited with her great-grandfather, Gaston Riendeau, and her grandmother, Stacy Brooks, resting together in eternal peace. She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Kelly and Dylan Riendeau; her little brother, Walker; grandparents Anne and Russell Riendeau, and Steve and Crystal Brooks.
She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Andrea and Dustan Palmer, Joseph and Kaytlin Riendeau, Andrew and Rachel Riendeau, James and Kyla Riendeau, Nick Riendeau and Georgia Fisher, Ryan and Brooke Brooks, and Aiden Brooks; cousins: Ellie, Kayleigh, Parker, Grayson, Harper, Wilder, Finley, Ava, Laramie, Declan, and Bria; and great-grandparents Brian and Nancy LaCoss, Beatrice Riendeau, Robert and Vicki Brooks, and Craig and Deborah McCormick,
Raelynn was loved and cherished by so many more family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A memorial service of Raelynn’s life will be held on August 9th at 3:00 pm at Kelly and Dylan’s house at 325 Kingdom Road, Lyndonville Vermont 05851. A celebration of life will follow with appetizers and shared memories with loved ones. All who were touched by her beautiful spirit are welcome to attend.
Though we must now say goodbye, we will forever hold the gift of Raelynn’s love close. She was, and always will be, our little Rae of sunshine!
