Raymond Lennon

January 28, 2019 — January 28, 2019

Raymond Edwin Lennon, age 82, formerly of Twin Mountain, NH, died at the Central Vermont Hospital in Barre on Monday, January 28, 2019.

Ray was born on Lennon Road in Carroll, NH, on June 21, 1936, son to the late Charles and Mary (Bean) Lennon.  He was raised and educated in Twin Mountain and lived there most all his life. Ray served with the U.S. Navy for 4 years.  He worked as a plumber starting with Ward Mechanical in Littleton and eventually took it over with a partner as R&G Contracting.  He later opened Lennon Plumbing & Heating in Twin Mountain and operated until his retirement.  He married Larraine Catherine (Dodge) on October 13, 1959 and shared 59 years of marriage together. They snow-birded a few years to Florida until moving full time to Lorida. They moved back to Vermont with Tammy in 2015.  Ray enjoyed fishing all his life, always kept a short fly rod and flies with him to stop along brooks that looked appealing. In Florida he would go out with his brother, Percy, frequently to Lake Okeechobee for bass. He was a great cook and loved it, keeping all his recipes in his head.  As his kids were growing up, the house became a second home for many of their friends.  He was as gentle a man as anyone knew and would do anything for you.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, of Stowe, VT, his daughter, Tammy Tattersall (John Dunbar) of Stowe, 2 brothers: Percy Lennon and Gene Lennon of Lorida, FL, 4 grandchildren: David Lennon of Fredericksburg, PA, Megan Tattersall of Stowe, Krista Wright of Lisbon, NH, Paul Dunbar of Stowe and 3 great grandchildren, Lyla, Ray and Hunter; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers: Morris and James Lennon.

There will be no services or calling hours at this time.  Burial with Military Honors will take place in the spring in NH.
