Rodney R. Collins, 70, of Cross Road, passed away at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, October 21, 2015, with his family at his side.
Rodney was born in E. Concord, VT, on March 27, 1945, son to the late Gordon M. and Della C. (Morrill) Collins. He was raised and educated there graduating from Concord School. He served in the National Guard and worked at the Gilman Paper Mill for 37 years in many positions at the mill retiring as a millwright. Rod was an avid hunter and bowler belonging to several leagues over the years. He loved to fix cars and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Virginia M (Fenoff) Collins, 3 children: Richard Collins (Chris Batte) of New Bedford, MA, Robin Gould (Scott Lambert) of N. Stratford, NH, Steve Collins (Melissa) of Littleton, NH, 3 step-children: Bonnie Fenoff of Mesa, AZ, Rick Young (Charlene) of Bath, NH, Cary LaCourse (Dana) of Newark, OH, 2 brothers: Roland Collins of Concord, VT, Roger Collins of E. Concord, VT, 8 grandchildren: Zachary & Krystal-Leigh White, Brieanna-Lyn McKeage,
Samantha Young, A.J. Brown, Lysander LaCourse, Xander and Xavier Collins, a great-grandson: Gavyn Ray Hagen and very dear friend Tim Gould of Lancaster, NH.
He was predeceased by his sister: Myrtle McPherson, brother: George Blodgett and sister-in-law: Cynthia.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 PM on November 10th at the First Congregational Church, 189 Main St Littleton, NH 03561.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
