Ronald Allen Jones, 78, passed away on July 28, 2025 at St. Johnsbury Center for Living & Rehabilitation after a long illness.

Ronald was born in Concord, VT on December 14, 1946 to John and Ethel (Stuart) Jones. He was raised in Concord and graduated from Concord High School with the class of 1967 before beginning work in various trades such as construction, logging, and farming. He farmed for Ken Ward in Danville for many years and worked at Fairbanks and at the Atlas Foundry. He was a man of many talents and enjoyed working with his hands and being outdoors.

The most important thing to Ronald was his family. He enjoyed taking trips to Florida to visit his son and visiting all the states along the way. He enjoyed taking the backroads of Vermont on trips to visit family members and friends, family gatherings, and spending as much time as possible with those that he loved. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Ronald is survived by his son, John Terry Jones and family of Colorado, brothers John (Phyllis) Jones of N. Concord and Harold (Dennise) Lunnie of Concord; sisters Jennifer Fleming, Judy (Max) Wheelock of Woodbury, Jackie Leigh of Lyndonville, and Rachel Storey (Stanley) of Calais; brother-in-law David Poor of St. Johnsbury; grandchildren Joshua Jones and Jessica (Nick) Verburg; great-grandchildren Evelyn & Charlott Jones; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Joyce Walsh and Wanda Poor, and brother-in-law Jerry Leigh.

Burial will take place at Grove Cemetery in East St. Johnsbury at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
