Roy L. Willey

Roy L. Willey, 68, of St. Johnsbury, VT passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at his residence. Roy was born on July 25, 1955, to Clayton and Beverly Willey in Hardwick, VT and lived his entire life in the Northeast Kingdom.

Roy was known for his love of fishing, playing cards, taking walks, spending time with his friends and family, and listening to country music, especially older classic country such as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. He enjoyed watching people walk past his window on the sidewalk going about their busy lives. His only child, daughter Blake, was his pride and joy and the apple of his eye. He delighted in making her childhood memorable and special with many fishing adventures and ice cream treats. Though his life took him to many places, he knew that the Northeast Kingdom was his home and enjoyed being a part of the communities he lived in. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Roy is survived by his daughter Blake Lewis (husband Jeffrey Lewis) of Eden, Vt; 4 grandchildren Connor, Merasia, Mason, and Kendall of Eden, Vt;  brothers Dennis, Frank, and Kervin Willey; sisters Linda Dickey and Beverly Gilman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by his brothers Larry and Richard Willey.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held privately by the family in the summer of 2024.
