Stephen F. John

Formerly Danville, VT: Stephen Ferlnald John, age 71, formerly of Hill Street in Danville, died at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, VT, October 9, 2025, following a recent decline in his health.

Stephen was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on April 17, 1954, son to the late Fernald Floyd and Cynthia (Drown) John. He grew up in Lyndonville, VT, graduating from Lyndon Institute in the Class of 1973. He lived in the area all his life, worked heavy construction for Pike and J. MacDonald as well as Winterset. He also worked as a locksmith for 15 years. Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing but above all enjoyed spending time in Graniteville with his son, Lucas, his wife, Amanda, and their boys: Aidan & Payton and especially their daughter, Gracie, who was the absolute world to Stephen.

In addition to Lucas, he is survived by his sister: Diane Cole and husband, Jeff, of Lyndonville as well and a number of nieces and nephews.

Stephen was predeceased by his parents, his brother: Mark F. John in 2023, his sister: Debbie Goodwin in 2024.
