Suzanne Broome

February 1, 1968 — June 29, 2019

Suzanne Marie (Bailey) Broome, 51, of East Haven passed away very unexpectedly on June 29, 2019 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury .

She was born on February 1, 1968 in Lower Waterford, moving with the family to Danville in 1977, graduating from Danville High School in 1986. She was a hard and dedicated worker, over the years being employed by Ames Dept. Store, Lyndonville Video, Quality Controlled Stitching and presently at the Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging in St. Johnsbury. She was also a very caring and compassionate caregiver to countless aging adults over the years.

Suzy enjoyed adventures outdoors, kayaking, hiking, going to the ocean, 4-wheeling but above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a warm-hearted smile and loved to make people laugh. She was always there, willing to help with her unselfish presence. Though her presence will be missed, the memories made are countless and unforgettable to all those who knew her.

Suzy is survived by her children, Dillan Broome (Cassie Hastings) and Bailey Broome (Mason Brammell); her loving partner Scott Brooks and his children Tyler and Tariyn Brooks and grandchild Karson; her siblings Laurie (Reg) Emmons, Jeana (Ray) Desilets, Elroy (Diana) Bailey and William (Tammi) Bailey; her ex-husband Greg Broome, sisters-in-law Lori Farrow (Steve), Angela (Hollis) Thresher, Melissa (Peter) O’Callaghan; brother-in-law George Jr. (Heidi) Broome; father-in-law George Broome Sr.; her grandson Brody and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by very close friends Tina Rouelle and Brandy Newland.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Donna (Williamson) Bailey and her mother-in-law Ann Broome.

Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM Saturday evening, July 6, 2019, at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury.

At Suzy’s request there will be a “backyard celebration” at 1589 Marshall Newland Road, East Burke on Sunday, July 7 from 1-4 pm for those who would like to come and share their memories and love of Suzy with her family and friends.
