Theresa Wright

Concord, VT: Theresa Delia Wright, age 87, of Cross Road, passed peacefully in her sleep early Sunday morning, August 17, 2025, at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center in St. Johnsbury, VT, where she had resided since October of last year.

Terry was born in Montague, MA, on April 23, 1938, daughter to the late Herbert, Sr. and Alma Lavigne. She grew up in Turners Falls, Ma and live much of her life there until moving to Vermont in 1997 to be closer to her daughter, Jean. She was a Born-Again Christian and member of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Greenfield, MA, and worked as a personal caregiver in the area. After moving to Vermont, Terry worked as a nurse’s aide at the Pines Nursing Home in Lyndonville for a number of years. Reading occupied much of her free time, especially mysteries and books on famous people and Hollywood stars; she enjoyed all kinds of crafts, including plastic canvas, doing crocheting and adult coloring books. Her dogs were very important to her and she loved watching law and police TV dramas.

Theresa is survived by her 3 children: Richard Bastarache and wife, Laurie, of Turners Falls, MA, Anita Brown and husband, Scott, of Lancaster, NH, Jean Wright and husband, William, of Concord, VT, 3 stepchildren: Sherry Wright of Derby Line, VT, Julie Wright and Ronald Wright and wife, Dory, of VT, 2 sisters: Rita Deyo of Shelburne, MA, Bertha Choiniere of Greenfield, MA, many grand and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Wright, Sr., in 2013, her 2 sons: Robert Bastarache & Michael Bastarache, her step-son: Gilbert Wright & Roger Wright, Jr., 3 brothers: Roger Lavigne, Herbert Lavigne, Jr, and Paul Lavigne.

There will be no Calling Hours. A gathering will be scheduled at a later time.
