Walton S. Earle passed away on December 15, 2023 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida after a brief illness.

Walton was born on November 19, 1931 in Hardwick to Sidney and Blanche Earle. He spent his childhood years working on the family farm in Greensboro Bend before beginning a long career as an Electronics Technician at Fairbanks Scales. He also served his country in the armed forces during the Korean War. He married Gloria Dugee on August 5, 1950 and spent many happy years together until her passing in 1997. For the past 25 years, Walton split his time between his home in Largo, Florida in the winter and spending summers with his family in Lyndonville. An avid outdoorsman, Walton loved to go fishing and hunting, as well as gardening. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife and parents, Walton was predeceased by his two brothers Wendall and Ronald.

He leaves behind his daughters Laurie Degreenia of Lyndonville and Karen Dopp of Waterford; grandchildren William and Jeremy Degreenia, Gregory, Kara, Kevin, and Misty Crown, and Shawna Dellworth, as well as 17 great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life held at the Tom Breslin Center, 377 Main Street, Lyndonville, VT on January 7, 2024, from 2-4pm. 

A committal service for Walton Earle will be held at 10am on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
